Meeting at the Presidential Palace between N.E.C.C.A. President, CEO and Hellenic Republic President

Prof. NTUA, Director of the Laboratory of Physical Geography and Environmental Impacts and President of the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (N.E.C.C.A.), Maria P. Papadopoulou, and the Chief Executive Officer of the N.E.C.C.A., Konstantinos Triantis, visited the Presidential Palace on Thursday, February 12, in order to inform the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, on issues within their competence.

In particular, they informed him about the study to upgrade and modernize the environmental information room at the National Reconciliation Park in Grammos.

They referred to the project to record biodiversity in twenty emblematic archaeological sites in Greece, a product of collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

In addition, they presented the Red List of Threatened Species of Greece, a valuable tool for the protection and preservation of the country’s rich natural heritage, and the anthology of 171 traditional songs from twelve regions of Hellenism, which they collected in collaboration with the Domna Samiou Greek Folk Music Association

Mr. Tasoulas thanked Ms. Papadopoulou and Mr. Triantis and congratulated them for their effective efforts to protect the natural environment and raise citizens’ awareness in this area.
