PHYGEO ENVI Lab in Dresden Nexus Conference 2025

The Laboratory of Physical Geography & Environmental Impacts Assessment, SRSGE NTUA was represented in the Dresden Nexus Conference 2025 that took place in Dresden, Germany, between 8-10 April, with two oral presentations and the co-organisation of the session “WEFE trajectories to support policy and decision making” in cooperation with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education.

Mrs Katerina-Shelagh Boucoyannis presented a paper entitled “Incompatibilities in the WEFE-Tourism Nexus: Identifying Sustainability Challenges in Tourism Sector”, co-authored by Dr. Chrysaida-Aliki Papadopoulou and Prof. Maria P. Papadopoulou, and illustrating results of her research conducted under the framework of NexusNet Cost Action 20138.

Mrs Caro Mooren presented a paper entitled “A methodological framework for assessing the coherence of Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem nexus policies: illustration and application in practice”, co-authored by Dr. Chrysaida-Aliki Papadopoulou, Dr. Stefania Munaretto, Mrs Katerina Levedi and Prof. Maria P. Papadopoulou, and illustrating results of research conducted under the framework of the NEXOGENESIS (H2020) project.

Dr. Chrysaida-Aliki Papadopoulou (Laboratory of Physical Geography & Environmental Impacts Assessment, SRSGE NTUA) was a co-convener of sessions D5.1 – D5.2 “WEFE trajectories to support policy and decision making”, along with Janez Susnik, Assoc. Prof. at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and Scientific Coordinator of the NEXOGENESIS (H2020) project.
